Remote Controls & More
Control your Kia EV6 remotely through the Kia Connect EU API. Lock doors, manage climate, start or stop charging, and more — plus navigation assistance, notifications, achievements, and administrative features.
Vehicle Commands
Eight command buttons on the KIA dashboard let you remotely control your vehicle. Each command is sent through the Kia Connect EU API and typically takes 10-30 seconds to execute. A loading indicator shows command progress, and the vehicle state updates automatically after completion.
Toggle door locks remotely. The current lock state is shown in the dashboard status chips. After locking, all four door lock states update to reflect the change.
Pre-condition the cabin temperature remotely. Starts the HVAC system at the configured temperature. Useful for warming up or cooling down the car before entering.
Manually initiate or halt charging when the vehicle is plugged in. Useful for timing charges to off-peak hours or stopping early.
Request an immediate data refresh from the vehicle, bypassing the normal 10-minute polling cycle. Useful when you need the latest state right now.
Remotely unlock the charge port door. Convenient when someone else needs to plug in the vehicle.
Flash the hazard lights to locate your vehicle in a parking lot or garage.
Activate headlights and horn simultaneously. A more noticeable way to locate the vehicle.
Set separate AC and DC charge limit targets (in percentage). Allows different limits for home charging (AC, e.g., 80%) vs. fast charging (DC, e.g., 90%) to optimize battery health.
Navigation & Range Planning
More than simple directions — the route planner calculates the actual driving route from the vehicle's current GPS position, then estimates battery consumption based on your real historical driving data. An interactive map shows the route, and you see exactly what battery level to expect at arrival.
Route Home
One tap calculates the route from your vehicle's current position to your saved home location. The route is computed via a routing API and displayed on an interactive OpenStreetMap with a green marker (vehicle) and red marker (home), connected by a blue polyline showing the driving route.
Displayed Data
Route To Location
Plan a trip to any destination with full round-trip battery estimation. Select a destination through three methods: saved locations (favorites), recently searched addresses, or free-text address search with autocomplete.
Destination Selection
Outbound Trip
Calculates the route from the vehicle's current position to the selected destination. Shows two battery predictions side by side:
Car Prediction
The vehicle's own range estimate — a simple linear projection from current battery and the car's built-in consumption model.
Realistic Prediction
Calculated from your actual historical driving efficiency (blended from recent and overall trips), adjusted for current outside temperature and climate control usage. More accurate than the car's built-in estimate.
Return Trip
Automatically calculated from the destination back to your home. The return trip starts with the realistic arrival battery from the outbound leg — so it chains the two trips together. Shown on the map as an orange dashed line alongside the blue outbound route.
Round-Trip Summary
The round-trip card combines outbound and return to answer the key question: 'Can I make this trip and get home?' It calculates:
Similar Historical Trips
An expandable section shows up to 20 historically similar trips — matching start and end locations within a 500m radius. Displays averages (distance, duration, consumption, efficiency, battery change) and individual trip details. Reverse-direction trips (e.g., the return leg of a previous visit) are marked with a special tag. This gives you real-world data to compare against the calculated estimate.
Interactive Route Map
The map displays all routes on an OpenStreetMap layer with three markers and two route lines:
AI Trip Analysis
An optional AI analysis button sends the route data to a configurable AI model for personalized recommendations: trip feasibility, optimal departure SOC, weather impact assessment, charging stop suggestions, and driving tips for maximizing range. The AI compares the car's prediction against the realistic prediction and explains the differences.

Additional Features
Push Notifications
Configurable push notifications alert you to important events: charging completed, charging interrupted, vehicle unlocked for extended period, tire pressure warnings, and AI report availability. Each notification type can be individually enabled or disabled. A notification history page stores all past alerts with detail views.
Achievements
A gamification system rewards consistent eco-friendly driving. Earn badges and achievements for milestones like maintaining high eco scores, reaching distance targets, efficient charging habits, and battery care. Progress is tracked across sessions.
Settings & Configuration
The settings area covers:
Admin Panel
Admin-only pages for user management and security monitoring. The user management page lists all registered accounts with their roles and status. The login log page shows an audit trail of all authentication attempts, including timestamps, IP addresses, and success/failure status — useful for security monitoring.
